A Few Shows Coming Up, and 2 Song Workshops in December!
Dear newsletter readers,
I am writing to you from the Pacific Northwest, a blustery Tuesday afternoon in Port Townsend, WA. I am in the midst of a tour out here… the music + the sense of community has been wonderful. I have also been writing and gathering songs for my next record over these past few weeks, and lately I have been challenging myself to debut a new one each night of this tour. These songs feel like fuzzy little chicks poking out of their shells for the first time! If you happen to be able to join us this fall, I hope you can feel this magic.
Random tip, the best lunch I had this touring season was just yesterday at a Northern Vietnamese restaurant called The Paper Bridge in Portland, OR. The menu was like a history and culture lesson!! I rarely eat out at restaurants when I’m home in Nashville, but gosh it can be such a delightful and full-sensory way to connect with a city when I’m passing through on a tour. Farmer’s markets are fun, too. I bought so many apples while I was up in Michigan that I had to split them between me and my friend Hannah’s refrigerators so we could keep them fresh for a few weeks until we could find a free day to make a very large amount of applesauce!
Thanks for supporting independent original music, y’all. It’s a real honor to get to share in your lives through song.
xo Maya

Loved your show in Eugene! Thanks for stopping here.
Maya, I’m obsessed with “Infinite.” “Holy” casts a spell, like a Kelly Reichart film. Happy touring!
